1986 Trek 850

Finally got this pink Trek all cleaned up and pretty. Parts are mostly the original spec with a few period correct upgrades.

  1. Cool! My first mtn bike was this exact bike but the yellow color with blue decals. My upgrades included Suntour XC Pro pedals, Fisher double toeclips, Chen Shin copies of Ritchey Quad tires, and a long Ritchey stem. Also put flat bars on it because I bent the risers almost immediately from proto-hucking.
    The 850 was a badass bike! Living/working in the 4-corners area, I did my first ride in Moab, Durango, the Jemez mtns (NM), and even Pearl Pass at Crested Butte. Its was a very capable bike. The Suntour Powercams were a pain to adjust.
    Unfortunately mine broke at the drive side dropout. I wish I still had that bike. Fun!
